Promethean FX Licensing

This license is purchased for each named Product (title) per platform. This license is intended for:

• Developers intending to publish through an outside publisher or limited control of the distribution of their intellectual property.
• Developers with small numbers of titles or destination platforms.

Subject to the conditions below, this license grants the user the following:

1. The ability to utilize Promethean FX tool-set for the creation and modification of visual effects for your named Product on the specified platform(s), regardless of the intended audience (commercial, non-commercial, education, etc.).
2. The linking to and redistribution of the Promethean FX SDK (engine) in an executable (compiled) form for use with your named Product on the specified platform(s).
3. Source code for the SDK (engine) is provided.
4. One year of support for the named Product will be provided via forums, e-mail, and telephone during normal business hours (this includes software patches and upgrades).
5. Additional maintenance contracts are available (includes all patches and upgrades).

Conditions/Limitations of the use of this license:

1. A Product is defined as the title or application developed by the purchaser for a particular platform.
2. A credit line is required on screen (splash or during initial loading) or in documentation (if available) that includes “Promethean FX” and “DAM Entertainment LLC”. Logos for box, manual, and screen art are provided here.An example credit line: “Promethean FX, copyright (c) DAM Entertainment LLC, 2000-2008″

This license is purchased for multiple products on all supported platforms being developed by a specifically named company at a specific address. This license is intended for:

• Developers creating multiple titles for multiple platforms.
• Developers wishing to move the licensing from a title basis to a company/site basis.

Subject to the conditions below, this license grants the user the following:

1. The ability to utilize Promethean FX tool-set for the creation and modification of visual effects for all Products on all platform(s) created by the named company at the specified address, regardless of the intended audience (commercial, non-commercial, education, etc.).
2. The linking to and redistribution of the Promethean FX SDK (engine) in an executable (compiled) form for use with all Products on all platform(s) created by the named company at the specified address.
3. Source code for the SDK (engine) is provided.
4. One year of support for the named Product will be provided via forums, e-mail, and telephone during normal business hours (this includes software patches and upgrades).
5. Additional maintenance contracts are available at a discounted rate (includes all patches and upgrades).

Conditions/Limitations of the use of this license:

1. A Product is defined as the title or application developed by the purchaser for a particular platform.
2. The product must be developed principally in-house by the named company at the address specified. This license CANNOT be used to publish titles principally developed outside the named company or outside the specified address.
3. A credit line is required on screen (splash or during initial loading) or in documentation (if available) that includes “Promethean FX” and “DAM Entertainment LLC”. Logos for box, manual, and screen art are provided here.An example credit line: “Promethean FX, copyright (c) DAM Entertainment LLC, 2000-2008″

This license is purchased for multiple products on all supported platforms being published by a specifically named company. This license is intended for:

• Developers who publish titles created in-house as well as titles created by 3rd parties.
• Publishing houses that work with developers to publish their titles and wish to have an all inclusive license to utilize Promethean FX.

Subject to the conditions below, this license grants the named Company the following:

1. The ability to utilize Promethean FX tool-set for the creation and modification of visual effects for all Products on all platform(s) created and/or published by the named company, regardless of the intended audience (commercial, non-commercial, education, etc.).
2. The linking to and redistribution of the Promethean FX SDK (engine) in an executable (compiled) form for use with all Products on all platform(s) created and/or published by the named company.
3. Source code for the SDK (engine) is provided.
4. One year of support for the named Product will be provided via forums, e-mail, and telephone during normal business hours (this includes software patches and upgrades).
5. Additional maintenance contracts are available at a discounted rate (includes all patches and upgrades).

This license is the default license under which the Promethean FX software is distributed. This license is intended for:

• Individual artists that are interested in building a portfolio.
• Indie and small company developers that have very limited development budgets.
• Small developers that are self-publishing and fully own the intellectual property rights to their software.
• Educational institutions.

Subject to the conditions below, this license grants the user the following:

1. The ability to utilize Promethean FX tool-set for the creation and modification of visual effects for your software, regardless of the intended audience (commercial, non-commercial, education, etc.).
2. The linking to and redistribution of the Promethean FX SDK (engine) in an executable (compiled) form for use with your software.

Conditions/Limitations of the use of this license:

1. No source code or other materials are provided.
2. Support will be available through the community forums only with no guaranty on the availability or response time.
3. All resources created and utilized by Promethean FX in the customers released software are required to be submitted back to DAM Entertainment LLC for our use.
